Relay for Life  May 5-10:00 am thru May 6-10:00 am Before you put on your walking shoes and get ready to walk for the Relay for Life at Milford High School, please plan to stop by the Relay for Life table at church between services April 15, 22 & 29.  To help raise money for the Relay for Life, we will be selling feet for $1, stars for $5 and luminaria bags for $10.  Luminaria bags are decorated by you either in celebration of someone who has won the battle over cancer, someone who is still fighting the battle or in loving memory of someone who has lost that battle.  These bags are then placed around the track and candles are placed in them and lit at nightfall.  There is a special ceremony at that time and it is a very beautiful and moving experience.  (Each one of these bags represents a person - a loved one, a friend, a co-worker, etc.  It is amazing to walk the track and realize that all those bags represent someone who has gone through cancer.)  Please plan to come if you can.  We will also be doing and auction item.  We'll let you know more about it in upcoming bulletins. We are also looking for walkers.  If you would like to sign up to walk, that would be great.  You can sign up at the Relay table on April 15, 22 & 29, call the church office at (248) 887-5550 or sign up on line at http://www.relayforlife.org/milford.mi.  Our team name is Have Faith In a Cure. All cancer survivors, please plan to come and walk the survivor lap at the beginning of the Relay.  You have survived cancer.  Celebrate it!!!  Please be there by 9:30 am to register. Come on out and join us any time during the Relay - walk around the track once or a few times - stop and visit your church family members at the Faith Lutheran tent, just look for our church sign - visit all the other tents and see what they have going on.  It's a very festive time!  See you there!

Church Rummage Sale Are You Spring Cleaning ??? The Bereavement Committee will be holding their annual Rummage Sale on October 18th & 19th. So please keep us in mind when you clean that garage, basement, attic or closet. Donations from the sale will go to the Food Closet for Seminary Students and Families, Community Sharing, needs for our kitchen and the balance to our self-supporting Bereavement Committee. Sermon Time Help Needed We are in need of leaders and helpers to run Sermon Time during the 11:00 am service while Pastor is giving his sermon.  The children will hear a sermon of their own, do a craft, then come back up to worship after Pastor's sermon. If you would like to lead or be a helper, please sign up on the bulletin board at church.  If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 248-887-5550.

The 2012 Greeter Schedule is up on the bulletin board at the bottom of the stairs at church. Please sign up to greet for a month at either the 8:30 or 11:00 am services on Sunday morning. This is a great way to participate in church activities and a great way to make people feel welcome as they enter our church on Sunday morning.

Electronic Offerings We are happy to introduce an electronic option for making regular offerings.  Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account.  Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation. If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes.  And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis. An authorization form and a "Frequently Asked Questions" flyer are available from the church office.  Please consider this form of giving.  Thank you!
