We remember this story from the Bible, and we know why Jesus asked three times.  Peter hadn't demonstrated his love for his Lord, especially when put under pressure.  Now it's our turn to allow Jesus to get personal.  "Simon, Son of John" was his full name.  It's the name his mother would have used when he was getting into trouble.  "______Your Full Name_____", Do you love me?"  Actions speak louder than words.  Love for Jesus is visible according to the Bible.  There will be lots of opportunity to show your love by feeding the lambs and sheep that are a part of our flock here at Faith.  We need you to step forward . . .      A man once told a pastor that he wanted to become a member of the church.  "But," he said, "I'm really busy, so don't ask me to join a committee, or teach a class, or sing in the choir.  And don't be surprised if I only make it for worship once in a while."  The pastor thought for a moment and then replied, "I believe you're at the wrong address.  The one you want is ten blocks down the street."  The man followed the pastor's suggestion and came to a boarded-up abandoned church building.      "Do you love Me?" asks our Lord.  Lively Christians make churches that are alive.   ~Rev. EVERYONE CAN SERVE Look for opportunities to serve; don't wait to be asked!  Remember:  You can serve without being a part of an "official" ministry.  We all can: ~ Extend the word of welcome, whether or not we are official greeters. ~ Be a listening, caring friend, whether or not we are official lay counselors. ~ Be ready to give reason for the hope that is in us, whether or not we are on the evangelism team. ~ Be enthusiastic participants and ready to give a hand, whether or not we are on the planning or cleanup committees.

Sunday Morning Greeters or Sermon Time Leaders - see sign up schedule at the bottom of the stairway. Sunday School Teachers - substitute teachers, as well as a teacher's aide for the Kdg - 2nd grade class.  If you are able to help please let us know; it does not have to be every Sunday, any time you are willing to give will be greatly appreciated.  We also are in need of craft volunteers.  Simply contact the church office for more info at (248) 887-5550.
